A house should listen before it speaks.
Windward is a full-service architectural bureau devoted exclusively to private residences. For nearly two decades we have shaped houses along the Gulf Coast — from compact city lofts to estates set deep in the landscape.
We begin every project with a simple question: how do you actually live? The answer becomes the architecture.
Our practice joins architects, interior designers and landscape specialists under one roof, so a single design intelligence carries your home from the first sketch to the final door handle. The result is a residence that feels inevitable — as if it could never have been anything else.

From first conversation to final key.

Discovery
We study the site, the brief and — above all — you. Listening sessions, site walks and a written vision document align everyone before pen meets paper.
ii.
Concept
Massing models, plans and material palettes explore the strongest ideas. We refine together until the scheme feels unmistakably yours.
iii.
Development
The concept matures into precise drawings: engineering coordination, specifications, permitting and a transparent cost plan.
iv.
Realization
We stay on site through construction — reviewing mock-ups, guiding craftsmen and protecting the design until the day we hand over the keys.
